There is an abundance of free (or almost free) resources for our patients, but you may not know about them. If you have information on resources not listed below, please email us so we can include them. Please be sure to contact the resource before driving to their office or mailing them any information, as programs may change without notification.
Substance Abuse Resources
Everybody deserves recovery. If we can't help, we will try our best to provide you with resources needed. We offer group support meetings for ANYONE in recovery. Currently, meetings are held online via Zoom. To have group meeting information sent to you, please email us at email@example.com. For other local substance abuse resources, see below.
Trillium Mobile Crisis - a member of the Mobile Crisis Team will meet a client who is experiencing a behavioral or substance abuse health crisis at home, school, work, or in the community.

The application is filed through your county DSS office; however, the qualifications are different than those of typical DSS services. Those who qualify for food assistance may be too young or too old to work, recently laid-off, unemployed or underemployed, disabled, suffering from illness, or suffering from abuse.
The N.C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund helps North Carolina homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgage due to job loss or other temporary financial hardship that occurred on or after January 1, 2008. If your goal is to obtain employment that will allow you to keep your home, this fund can provide temporary assistance to pay your mortgage while you search or train for a new job, all at no cost to you. The N.C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund offers zero-interest, deferred loans up to $36,000 to cover your mortgage and related expenses for up to 36 months. The loan can also be used to bring your mortgage current.

Tax day comes around every year on April 15th. Thanks to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, you can get your taxes done and filed for FREE at the State Employees Credit Union in Grantsboro if you make less than $53,000/year. This is a federal program, so if you are located outside Pamlico County, it’s likely available at a local bank.
